Sounds like victimhood. Surprising to read from you.

Nobody betrayed anybody.

Humans think and extrapolate based on known patterns and experiences.

Nobody knew, nor could they have predicted, the extent of the impact and the ramifications that creating a currency with no PoW to generate more of could bring.

FFS, even transgenderism through chemically modified food is a downstream effect of having money backed by “faith” in the system

Everyone and cousins (nations, corps, smes, individuals) have financed themselves for decades with debt.

Implication?

Current wealth was already used long ago. We owe the liabilities now.

Financing a State with debt should be explicitly prohibited in the Constitution. Even in states of emergency.

No taxes? No money for schools, pensions, social security, or wars.

Societies should come back down to earth.

When did we lose rational thinking?!

The effects were very well known

That’s just impossible. It would mean our dear central planners are omniscient

Maybe they anticipated first-order, short-term effects to some extent.

I don’t grant them anything further than that.

I'm not saying that it's predictable to the smallest detail. Just in general - the further away from truth you get the worse are the consequences

I’m more successful than even very successful boomers. This isn’t coming from a place of victim hood but a place of truth.

I still don’t see your point. How have we been betrayed, other than through overconsumption of existing resources, facilitated through ever expanding debt?

And which of their actions 40 years ago would you have done then differently?

Because my thesis is that there’s no malice (in general). Everyone tries to play the game with the cards they’re being dealt to their own advantage.

And in that regard we are no different than boomers

My claim isn’t boomers are evil. My claim is boomers were poor stewards who transferred costs forward and then refused to acknowledge that transfer.

💯

That I fully subscribe
