Delicate but needs to be done.. literally says goodnight and I can count 15-20 seconds she picks her phone up and is doom scrolling FB and Instagram... It's heart wrenching that she is poisoning herself!
Do something! Even if it leads to an argument! Fight for your family.
Agreed, but because I’m also on my phone working on generating revenue from eyes open till shut I guess I am also guilty..

Experiencing a bit of this, but not so much doom scrolling as political-scrolling. Hoping it’ll subside when new gov settles in a bit more

Instagram horse shit.. she is a MD so smart but fuck sitting scrolling for hours on end… then she is tired in the morning 🙋♂️
I see. Maybe have a convo about how different nostr feels since you don’t see that type of stuff as much? Could get her to consider her consumption without feeling like you’re telling her how to spend her free time :/

The algorithm is deadly - I can say I’m here to learn and it’s what Nostr for me is all about..

if i notice my Wife zoning out and scrolling, it's usually because She's had a stressful or exhausting day.
many times i try to simply be present with Her—feeling out what kind of engagement She needs. sometimes we laugh or discuss about whatever it is, other times it's just me simply being there (and if i'm really lucky—giving Her a foot massage)
the idea is to turn a moment in which She feels the urge to be distracted or distant and transform it into a moment of intimacy. :3
