Everyone has their Bitcoin regret stories.

I could have bought at $x, think about how rich I would be now!

Sad fact is, if you bought at $x, you would have sold at $2x or $5x dollars and you'd have an even worse regret story.

Be grateful that you got in when you did and held what you held.

Yes! I bought a bunch at $17.

Sold it all at $242 because I had bills to pay and hot damn I made a 14x profit on that weird internet money.

If I bought in 2014 i would have none and I wouldn’t bought again in 2021, & daily into the future

Fully agree with this, I got the 5 free BTC from that tap online back in like 2009-2010. Never actually took custody of it, but I’m almost certain I would’ve sold it at a couple hundred bucks or less.

Re-visited bitcoin in 2021 at a much higher price and I ain’t lettin go of it! 🤙🏻

My only regret is, I wish I had studied bitcoin back in 2009-2010.

I do remember that I googled “next best investment” back in 2009-2010 when I first came across Bitcoin.

Facckkk this is a very painful truth. 😓🙏

💯 I have a friend who mined 100+ Bitcoin over just a few nights. But because there was no real world value (yet), they formatted the drives, and didn't think twice. Coins lost forever.. there's always a more traffic story, DCA stacking at this price is a luxury.

Absolutely.

Or, like most, me included, you'd have shitcoined like an innocent idiot. 😂

I've actually sold most of my stash 3 times and bought back in when I could. Those 3 times I: bought a truck so I could work, put a down payment on my house when I got my then gf pregnant, and joined a business network group so I could grow my business when I had no clients. I am in a much better place than if I had never sold. But I still wonder if I should have held and found another way to achieve my goals.

My regret is not where I could have bought. My regret is not learning about it earlier and advocating for it in Lebanon. Would have saved my fellow Lebanese a lot of pain over the years.

Me and nostr:npub1pwz3959npp8rvrtdyc3g022dz594klp0q5rxtqsw63grhe58anhsh3tdyp talked about this today. We all would have sold.

It is a good advice but one could improve on it. Simply, be grateful.

Regret can be a wasted emotion when it becomes an endless cycle of self-blame and stagnation. Dwelling on what might have been robs us of the present moment and saps our energy.

Regret has redeeming quality when harnessed as a tool for personal growth. It should serve as a beacon, not an anchor. When we reflect on our past mistakes, we can extract valuable lessons. It's a chance to evaluate where we went wrong and make course corrections.

By acknowledging our errors and resolving not to repeat them, we transform regret into a constructive force that propels us forward on our life journey. In this way, it becomes not just a wasted emotion but a vital stepping stone towards self-improvement.
