“hey I like you, I want you.” will work,
as long as she is already attracted to him,
and at that point, he does not actually need to say it.

But if she doesn’t like him, he’s better off saying it and finding out if he’s wasting his time or not. If she doesn’t like him then he can move on.
Different guys need different types of game. The more attractive you are, the more straightforward you can be. If you're rich and you're cool with gold diggers, then same. Or if she happens to be into you already.
But a lot of guys can do better with women by using "game", not like pick-up artist stuff but just social subtlety and humor. Women are attracted to guys who can mack in a sly roundabout way.
That’s all true but it’s a lot of effort. It’s very tiresome. Finding someone that just likes you makes your life so much easier.
Asking a million people can be tiresome too. I think your views might be a little skewed by your attractiveness.
Also, some guys enjoy game and don't find it tiresome. (I am definitely not one of them.)
Haha maybe I’m just tired of dating. I had more energy for game a few years ago. Now I feel like I want to jump into something deeper.
