Iβm a Damus boy 4 lyf
I use other clients but Damus is my daily driver
Mixing clients is the issue then, cuz my Damus mute list never gets βruggedβ itβs the other clients doing something that rugs you.

plus it had never happened before ive been using Damus and other apps for more than a year now sir

Yah, itβs just like when peoples follow list or whatever gets written over, maybe one of those other apps has been updated and is causing the issue. If itβs happening everyday, itβs one youβre logging into often. Itβs not Damus rugging the mute list itβs another client that has permission to write and isnβt downloading the mute list and then is writing an update to your profile that has an empty mute list.
sirrrrr I am not the only person that this is happening to on the daily and me and these other people arenβt logging into the same clients every day lol

I tagged the dev for a reason btw π bc devs actually know the answer. 
I only use Damus to mute accounts so it doesnβt make sense to blame anyone else.
Also read this, the person Sam is talking about ONLY uses Damus and their mute list is also getting rugged.

Damus is awesome. It just has a bug that sucks.
It would be a lot easier if mute lists are local. Doesnβt really need to be an event.
That would suck for users like me. I use many different clients every day. The bug shouldnβt be that hard to fix. Just prompt the user for confirmation before broadcasting an empty mute list. Most likely user didnβt want to clear their mute list.
I have a feeling a lot of these issues get solved with a local relay inside of the client.

We really need a fix. Cannot have free speech socials if we donβt have free will to block. This is fundamental to nostrβs success

It definitely is, I saw nostr:npub1ymt2j3n8tesrlr0yhaheem6yyqmmwrr7actslurw6annls6vnrcslapxnz say she muted some reply bot but it keeps showing up, and thatβs how I found out my mute list keeps getting rugged. And hers most likely is as well bc that bot only has one npub.
It's noStrudel, or zapstream or Amethyst. One of those hawk tuahs' fucks with kind 10k.

my kind 10000 is blank every single day and has been for the last few weeks. I can mute some accounts today, see them on the list, later they're gone again. Why, who, how? I have no clue.
update: itβs now at 3 days of rugging cycle, at least itβs not every day anymore..
