The bItCoIn iNteLlektUaLs or anti-laser eyes gang are always pissy because they simply aren’t needed in a #Bitcoin world. No one needs their suggestions to fix non-existent problems in Bitcoin, their crappy takes, their shilling of various crypto projects/scams, and least of all their “thought leadership.”

Pre-Bitcoin they’d be something like a financial advisor, teaching plebs about how to best manage their money in a convoluted and opaque financial system and happily getting their cut.

Post-Bitcoin, any 80 IQ pleb can through first principle reasoning reach the simple conclusion that they just need to work hard, stack sats, and #HODL. No financial advice needed. No fees to any middlemen.

So if you’re wondering why these tools spend so much time and energy raging against you and other plebs, well now you know. They’re angry that their stars aren’t rising.

All good and i agree but the real super power is not giving them any attention. I haven't seen or heard anything from Nic Carter ever since the rising star thing and that's because I stick to Nostr and stick to following the signal. As funny as the 80iq thing is the real superpower is just digging into the details on the likes of LN symmetry and Utreexo and CTV/covenants and PTLCs and splicing and Fedimints and just blocking about all the noise. Fascinating how much they cluster around the same odd opinions too.

When I give the benefit of the doubt and try to read their logic with an open mind, I'm struck by how obtuse or disengenuous it is. They're struggling against those basic first principles to say something provocative, but it requires them to create problems or miss elementary logic.

I think it stems from a lack of humility, but also motivated by trying to stay relevant. To be fair, I probably have to encounter people like Udi far more than otherwise just because they've placed themselves at the nexus of controversy - so, unfortunately, it works for them.

Nic Carter especially kills me because his content was so good. But he drank the VC kool-aid investing in shitcoin projects and let 80 IQ plebs live rent free in his head. Now he seems to spend his time willingly trying to tear down narratives propped up by the 80 IQ gang it's a real spectacle to witness the thot leaders.
