Last night during nostr:npub1n9e66kzve667ru2q2v75lw4dtspzku3hf4hmzv0pfnqf8m8rjq5s6wce7q I made my first attempt at hot honey!

It will probably ferment some, so I gave it lots of headspace to bubble up.

IIRC, thanks to nostr:npub1q8gth72n0mcl6rwls905rsvfvuu0dgaq7cq028rc9d7c3ygnp4xq84awvk for telling me rough proportions by weight of honey:other stuff.

This is a pound of unheated, unsprayed Virginia dandelion honey combined with ~2.5 oz mixed garlic and shallots (I cut garlic ends off after weighing and replaced a guess at that mass with 1/8 tsp organic cumin seeds), 0.05 oz mixed mint and thyme from my friend’s garden, and 2.45 oz mixed organic shishito and serrano peppers (as non-green as I could find).

Smells amazing 🀀
