Why is this decentralized app so much faster than twitter/x?

Said this earlier and will repeat it. It's insane how quick and snappy this all feels. This video loaded instantly whereas on x it'll be chugging along at lower quality
Lots of nostr devs are obsessed with performance. You really need to have the fastest databases in the world to power this stuff

Less red tape? IDK just a hunch
Cos there’s fewer people using it for one
Because there are no algorithms fighting against users and in favor of banking.
Because open source development will always out perform overpaid and pampered Silicon Valley development.
Because every Twitter post has to be approved by an FBI, CIA, and NSA agent before it can be broadcast.
Cause there are multiple orders of magnitude fewer users here
