I fixed the script in my own micro-app through 2 trouble shooting iterations without having to go to ChatGPT because I immediately knew what the problem was and could fix it myself faster... ChatGPT is slowly brute forcing me into basic coding practices. 🤣

Something I didn't think about was the fact that when I had a bunch of little apps that work in a particular way that I want to repeat, that I would end up taking blocks of code from each of them to Frankenstein together some other app and because they are so short its far easier to breakdown exactly what they are doing and how they work.
LLMs are going to be an incredible tool for creating programmers in the next generations. If you thought software was eating the world now, get ready.
Very true. I use LLMs for coding and it’s a 10x boost already, easy. I feel like I’m a team lead with a bunch of specialists.
I look forward to the day we can just tell an LLM to recreate iOS, but in rust, make it provably secure, and add a few extra custom features too. It’s how we decentralize the world.

ChatGpt has given me code that fails the test suite when I ask it to refactor some code

For sure, its by no means perfect, but it can do a ton of things, especially in small blocks, really well. So when I'm building small, single purpose apps and don't know where to start, its an insane advantage. They aren't at all "elegant" and it always takes a lot of iterating to get it to work properly, but that's part of why it has helped me to understand the code better, I can see and analyze the small changes every time I run into a problem.
We should allow only the virtues, knowledge, and wisdom that enrich our character to permeate our inner selves. Choose your influences wisely, for they shape your character and determine the path of your life.
