One step closer to reverse proxy setup 💪
Discussion
What mean?
Been wanting to setup a reverse proxy for some servers I have and starting the process today finally
Its as "easy" as I knew it'd be but never done this before so wanting to make sure I do it properly without allowing port access to anyone
I could look it up but if you want to explain what is a reverse proxy.
A proxy in reverse dude. WTF?!
Basically takes web requests into a single endpoint and passes them off to other ports.
It's a single webserver that can sort of mediate a few different backends
Yes, what Vinney said
Basically I take my home node inside my local network, and now I can access it from my regular clearnet URL (https:// mywebsite. com)
Point your local node from inside your house to the outside Internet
Nice! Full blown nginx is beyond me but nginx proxy manager works for simple setups and its what I use.
That's what I'm setting up as recommended by the great nostr:nprofile1qqsv0mdxvznteqns2v8g9d98wy4vm63wx8wq54hcmj244sqfalvhepspr3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucnfw33k76twwpshy6ewvdhk6tcpypmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumgv9mku7t9v9nk2u3wvdhk6tmrdpshgqfpwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8x6rpwah8jetpvajhytnrdakj76twvfhhscktp8e
