a social network is not predicated on ’like’ functionality.
I think what I’m pushing back against is adopting the same kind of ways of interacting and functionality - not because its better, but because we’re trying to APPEAL to certain users.
Instead, I think we are best served by simply creating the best product irrespective of whether it is similar, different or completely novel, and less on what we THINK users prefer.
I think the point here is imo, is that embracing the points of difference are nostr’s edge. Its the thing we should be leaning into waaaaaay more.
