They only recently started blocking ad blockers.
On mobile web I just refresh the page when there’s an ad. This works well.
On desktop web I also just refresh the page when there’s an ad. This works less well.

Why don't you use NewPipe or whatever alternative clients? There is a desktop native installable one.

They tried blocking Firefox + uBlock and failed. I haven't seen an ad for months, and hadn't seen one for years using Brave browser, before this last failed attempt by YT.
