I had one such a case with Bitfinex Pay and they did refund sat per sat despite the Bitcoin pump between payment and refund.
If They offer full refund before the conference, they should not spend the bitcoin so they can refund it minus the network fees. It is the fair thing to do.
Now they look like a shit company

Thatβs why it amazes when Bitcoiners imagine a utopian world where everyone is perfect. Bitcoin or not, people will continue to be dishonest and scammy at any opportunity they get - if they are predisposed to being like that in the first place.
