I admit that I did not expect this. I heard one Steak N Shake dude (cannot remember who it was) talking about their decision to accept Bitcoin, and I got the feeling that Bitcoin was just a marketing trick for them. But with this poll the marketing trick and their credibility took a serious dent. It shows that they don’t get Bitcoin.

And I give them an extra minus for the Elon-esque Twitter poll and the “will abide by the results of this poll" stuff. As if it’s somehow very noble what they just did. It was not. It was pure shitcoinery. And I don’t think it’s a good idea for a restaurant to be mentioned in the same context with shit.
