I'm not surprised they don't get much sales in BTC. As long as the customer is being charged the same cost to use the fiat credit rails that aren't required for BTC, it was always effectively just a stunt.
Zero in Utah and the one I went to in Nevada didnāt participate or even have a soda with my meal. So they can just go out of business with their ETH bs.
McDonald's seems like a better fit for the proof-of-stake types.
I admit that I did not expect this. I heard one Steak N Shake dude (cannot remember who it was) talking about their decision to accept Bitcoin, and I got the feeling that Bitcoin was just a marketing trick for them. But with this poll the marketing trick and their credibility took a serious dent. It shows that they donāt get Bitcoin.
And I give them an extra minus for the Elon-esque Twitter poll and the āwill abide by the results of this poll" stuff. As if itās somehow very noble what they just did. It was not. It was pure shitcoinery. And I donāt think itās a good idea for a restaurant to be mentioned in the same context with shit.
