Thank you.
The crux is the answer to the question of "what is the human soul?" but also "are humans more than just their soul?"
The second question doesn't get asked often enough, I don't think. Many people just assume that we have a soul and that it should be obvious that we are our soul, but... There's more to us that a "soul" and a "body." IMO. (Even if my opinion is not well-formed yet. π )
You're not just your soul & your body, you are also my soul & my body.
You are the sky, the earth, the trees & the water.
You are a part of the all that is & you're having an experience that can make you feel like you are seperate.
I've been learning more about that perspective, but, I am very unconvinced in the "all is one and one is all" theory.
It's something that you have to feel your way into rather than think your way there.
Watts talks about it in terms of prickles & goo. If you zoom in, all you see is prickles but zoom out & the prickles are replaced by goo. They both exist simultaneously - it's prickles & goo, goo & prickles, all the way down.
Your index finger is not seperate from your hand or that thing that you call your body. The bee is not seperate from the flower, they both need each other to exist. We see a bee & we see a flower but in doing so, our senses trick us into believing that they are separate. Separation is the great illusion.

I don't fleeting like thatl. So... I rather doubt I'll be convinced via a non-logical ontology.
Your mind works best when it is connected to your heart.
The easiest way to sever that connection is to fill your mind with fear.
Explore your remaining fears & work at letting them go. This is not a judgement, I'm still doing this myself.

That's certainly sounds advice. I've been poking at the edges of that, but, fear of my fears isn't helping. π
Thank you.
