1. You don’t understand incentives. Not mining low cost transactions has nothing to do with mining higher fee “spam”.
2. Datum won’t solve for miners who specifically choose to mine spam because they want to make more money. All datum does is make sure miners have better control over what they include in their blocks regardless of what the pool would want. A pool of miners who want to mine garbage for the money will outcompete all other miners. Your solution just accelerates the issue.

Nodes are run by individuals and the node mempool policy of the majority cannot stop a minority from mining a valid transaction. This is the fundamental nature of a censorship resistant network.
We will filter spam and csam with Bitcoin Knots as much as we can to keep Bitcoin Freedom Money and we won't care about retards, bad actors or their wrong points of view. Your theory will be put to the test 🤙 And we know there always will be bad actors. But Bitcoin is designed to incentivize good actors.
Bitcoin is designed to incentivize self interest. I would generally agree that bitcoin creates environments for long term thinking, the competitive low margin nature of mining will continuously create environments for immediate profit motives to outweigh the long term health of the chain.
It’s a free network. So run the node you want, just remember that freedom cuts both ways.
