New Zealand indigenous Maori party member protested with a #Haka to a proposed Bill to change the definitions of a treaty passed in 1840.

The indigenous Maori are not to messed with when they go full tribal man. Like in so many countries the indigenous population have not had a good deal under colonialism.
They’re to be told to shut the fuck and sit down.
Parliament is civilized, and if they don’t shut the fuck up and sit down they will be conquered again.

All our tribes once understood and possessed power. It is good to see those whose steadfastness has preserved their power and unity.
They are probably the only people in the world that managed to tame the colonialist push to turn their ways of life and behaviour into folklore! Respect!

This protest was made at the vote to pass the bill from first reading to select committee where submissions would be heard on the bill from any interested party.
