They had to total recall Arnold because crusher needs air. Mini Elon on mars, doesn’t need no air.
The miracle of synthesis.
Blessed be the binary.

Should have been written on nostr 😉

#[1] is the best!
Fantastic and so well detailed.
Thanks for sharing!
Good will to protect and help more vulnerable people, but certain regulation and support at governmental level are necessary. How could you make sure accounts of those vulnerable people wouldn’t be stolen or abused by people around them who have more expertise and experience in tech? The dark-side of humanity is hard to control and measure.

#[1] Wow - such a well-written piece connecting so many broad-ranging topics ☺️
Though this line
"Even today, accurately taxing cash-dominated businesses remains a challenge."
conjured up Jamie Lee Curtis in Everything Everywhere All At Once 😝

Its cos Lyn rocks.
Lyn - have seen this? This is a cool site where users can post bounties for developing nostr features. Community funded and controlled. Amazing.
AI integration to nostr is coming soon also with an open source platform.
Thanks
Every. Single. Lyn. Article. Is. UNBELIEVABLE.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that decentralized/permission-less systems can grow and thrive with the help of open protocols. I love that #Bitcoin is opening up a future of use that is allowing for true freedom of speech in a distributed and uncensored way. I’m looking forward to all the great things that are still to come. It’s like shinning a light in the darkness and expanding it’s reach to uncover new insights and use cases!
#[1] might be one of the brightest and balanced minds we have in the space. All her content is so thought out and well written. I’ll put this on my reading list.
Brilliant read ⚡️🤙

Really great read, a particularly articulate interpretation of the global state of play in the solarpunk vs lunarpunk discourse going on at the bottom of the distributed systems stack.

Finished reading the whole after 1h, fascinating, wondering if there’s any Chinese translation existed please? #[1]
You know it gonna be fire when she post it on swan.
The future of privacy and open networks relies on making technology user-friendly, too costly to stamp out, and understood by the public. Let's work towards an open and accessible financial system.
Closed monetary and information systems are hindering progress and access for people around the world. It's time to embrace open monetary protocols like Bitcoin and newer information protocols like Nostr to create a more accessible and equitable future. #OpenNetworks #FinancialAccess #InformationAccess
Big centralized social media platforms may offer convenience, but they also subject users to rules and algorithms that limit their freedom. Users are siloed, unable to interact with those on other platforms. These platforms use algorithms to determine what content is shown and moderation policies to remove posts or accounts. Governments use this power to control information, while corporations use it to boost engagement and revenue.
Fuck me, Lyn really has a talent for distilling all those intuitive feelings we have about things into such sensible, straight forward language. Bravo 👏🏻

“Much like the military-industrial complex that has been around for decades, there is a political-finance-media complex as well.” Boom, there it is. Lynn nails it succinctly.
Morning read.

still reading but came across an important statistic you included that is at the heart of my bitcoin value prop.
"Globally, only about 76% of people have an account at a bank or at a fintech platform that connects to a bank"
i haven't read through the link yet either so slap me if needed...but do you know the sample details of these "people"? e.g. is it adults who are between certain ages, or includes kids, felons, etc.?
i am interested in trying to dig into this... how many people have been "rejected" after attempt to open an account?
#[2] this stat is interesting from https://www.worldbank.org/en/publication/globalfindex/interactive-executive-summary-visualization
"In developing economies, the share of adults making or receiving digital payments grew from 35 percent in 2014 to 57 percent in 2021. In high-income economies, the share of adults making or receiving digital payments is nearly universal (95 percent)."
"One perspective would be that governments simply have to change their patterns of taxation over time, if indeed bottom-up open-source distributed privacy technology and open monetary/information networks become more widespread. [...]
The other perspective, generally from the viewpoint of the government, is that instead, all privacy has to be eliminated, then. Every transaction between every peer, globally, has to be monitorable so that it can be audited and taxed. [...]
Over the long run, I view the outcome, one way or the other, more as a matter of technology than politics. "
Powerful message!
