We had a raccoon break into the coop the other night and killed 6 of our Rhode Island reds. Just chewed on their necks and drank blood, didn’t bother eating a one. And of course my big ass rooster came out unscathed, probably hiding in a nesting box lol. Luckily I found a local couple who had some young Plymouth Rocks and I was able to replace them pretty quick. You get used to fresh eggs and you don’t want to go back to store bought, that’s a fact

we have mink here.

they will kill an entire flock in minutes. weve lost several. my coop is concrete reinforced now.

Yup, my wife saw a weasel and some little ones crossing our driveway not to long ago. That raccoon broke through the screen on the window, should have used chicken wire but I don’t think I had any at the time

Love the toilet seat

You make due with what you have, and I had an extra toilet seat

I think it's great to give old or unused things a new purpose

Raccoons be assassins

Trash pandas my ass, they are definitely assassins, one has yet to get into my garage can. Maybe those city ones are different lol

Some vampire cold blooded- ripping the heads off and drinking blood.

That’s what it seems like, weasels will do the same thing. I would have thought that the raccoon would have at least had a leg or something you know?

It’s kind of amazing. I had chickens once and a couple got decapitated. People said it’s raccoons. Must be their thing.

Bummer. Sorry to hear.

Cant beat fresh eggs😊
