TL;DR — the article spotlights a woman whose baby was diagnosed with developmental abnormalities that would likely result in miscarriage or stillbirth, or else require extreme medical intervention to keep the baby alive after birth. Rather than wait and see and provide medical care as necessary, the couple went out of state to procure an abortion.
Miscarriage and stillbirth are very real tragedies that women, at times, must face. However, the natural desire to lessen the pain of such a tragedy does not give anyone the moral right to cause the death of an unborn child.
