Your mind is more powerful than you give it credit for...
the mind has at least 50% influence over the body, for all but the most extreme forms of poison and sickness
This doesn't seem too surprising; just being "seen" by doctors and getting a "prescription" might have psychological effects even if the the drug is a known placebo.
