If we ever figure out how to make those damn roads, we won't have to put up with stuff like this anymore.

City tears down man's house BY MISTAKE. Yea they tear down the wrong house. Do they apologize and make him whole? Fuck no, they sent his ass a bill for 68K to pay for it and now are suing him to make him pay the bill for fuckin up his house. And people sit and say shit like, "my my what would make people think the government is out to get them"?
Every person in this city should have the city council and mayor in full on fear and ready to step down from office right now. Unless they fought against it they all gotta go, this isn't a "woopsie" thing that can be fixed, 100% ridden out of town on a rail and a bit of tar and feathering wouldn't hurt either. But no they WILL GET AWAY WITH IT.

Nobody knows how to make roads except for people who take money from others though
It's the central tragedy of this reality.
So sad we lost this technology!
You sound like a deranged conspiracy theorist. Government invented roads and no private actor has ever made one.
My sister lost all knowledge about building roads when she quit her job as an engineer for the state department of transportation. I’ve also seen my brother in law who works construction forget his knowledge of road building until his company has a government contract again. It really is scary how it happens.
Have hope! We'll crack this nut someday.
