Time for a Change: Health Journey Begins!

Starting tomorrow, I'm committing to a healthier lifestyle. Lately, I've been out of breath from just walking, and some recent events have been a wake-up call.

In Q2 of 2024, I lost a dear friend, only 28, to a heart attack. And already this year, I've lost family friends in their 50s and 60s. It hit me hard, and I realized I can’t take my health for granted anymore.

I’m not a gym person (I’ve tried, it’s just not for me).

My plan is to:

âś… Cut down (or completely cut out) energy drinks and fags.

âś… Start eating better.

✅ Walk instead of taking the bus, as long as it’s under an hour.

What I need most, though, is motivation. I’d love to find someone to do this journey with me other than my parents or my fiancée (she’s super supportive but loves food a bit too much, haha).

If anyone has words of encouragement or tips, send them my way! Let’s build a healthier community together. ❤️

I like it!

Step down from energy drinks to tea, and cigarettes to etc. Or cold turkey, you know yourself better.

Define start eating better. If your diet is horrible.. let’s start by cutting out any drinks with sugar in them. Replace with seltzer and unsweetened teas (hot and or cold).

Then cut out processed food. Anything with more than 4 ingredients. Make the diet a lifestyle change instead of a temporary food torture.

Eat healthful foods that your body needs.

Walking sounds great. I like that plan a lot. Let’s start there for sure. Listen to health podcasts on your walk, about diet and living. I’m sure that will really help kickstart it for you!

Let’s go!

You'll be more likely to stick to small, incremental changes than grand, sweeping changes. Best of luck to you in your journey though, those sound like great goals to work on.

Hey man, I really need to command your courage. People underestimate the toll it takes on someone’s body and emotional state to change your health habits.

I’m no way an expert but I have gone through a “health reset” last October. It’s all about changeing habits.

I’ve been thinking of publishing a few healthy habits articles based on my personal experience and what works for me.

You are motivating me to share my knowledge.

You are the boost I needed to get it done!

I’m with you mate!

If I can give you a first tip that will make a difference is to cut snacks and drink water. The brain gets confused and mix thrust with hunger.

If you are hungry, drink water, don’t snack!

thanks for the advice, I brought a huge water bottle witch I am going to shat taking every where with me
