“Don’t ever spend your bitcoin, just HODL” culture is really annoying. We’re trying to build a money, y’all, not a shiny rock you buy and stare at on a shelf!
Sure, most of us don’t have a ton of reason to spend bitcoin, but don’t shit on people who spend it! I guess I don’t have to tell nostriches this much cause y’all love the zaps.

And when your bank gets mad at you for trying to pay a merchant in a foreign country or your PayPal account gets shut down again, contact the merchant and ask to pay in bitcoin! That’s why its there!

Either way, I'd prefer it if no one tried to tell me what to do with my money unless I ask. Offer me something of greater value than bitcoin and I might part with some. Hasn't happened yet. Still use fiat for that.

Personally, I really like spending Bitcoin, especially with lightning and I try to use it everywhere I can.
It's about not wasting money in consumption goods and not needed stuff! Short time preference!
But I have to admit: It happened that I bought stuff only because I could pay with Bitcoin. Which is some kind of stupid, I know. But it's so fun being my own bank, using my own lightning node!
I always had a feeling that those who shit on people that encourage usage are actually big blockers that are trolling and try to cause bitcoin look bad.

It's the reason why I opened an account on https://www.xapobank.com/. So I can spend dollar or bitcoin and receive cashback and interest in sats.
Both camps projecting their personal preferences is perfectly ok. Savers remind spenders they should save. Spenders remind savers we should build a bitcoin circular economy.
