Trying to install startOS on a spare laptop, everything was fine til I got to the reboot part. I got "SQUASHFS error, failed to read block" a million times. Help pls.

Reflash your ssd with a fresh image. Confirm the hash of your image matches the hash provided in the repo
I confirmed the hash the first time around but I'll try a reflash in the morning
I found that there was a hidden partition on the drive I was installing to and once I’d reformatted again, the install worked. That said, I’d tried two old laptops by then in vain and eventually built my own out of old PC parts and a subwoofer case.

Update, tried flashing from a different USB and changed UEFI setting. That seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the help 🫡
