I suggest a mini tab ( Samsung is pretty good ) with 5g .. more screen ..same portability .. and who needs voice calls ? Anyway ..

5g on tabs costs way less than on phone ..and if someone at your home use google fi ..you can simply ask for another sim card ..free ..
