No. Nostr is for everybody, we want everybody and we need everybody. It doesn't work if Nostr is just full of people who agree with each other all the time.

I agree. Same for Bitcoin. It is for everybody. It’s for you and me and BlackRock and the US and Chinese governments and whoever else wants to embrace it. When we have everyone on a money standard that cannot be debased value will tend to be naturally distributed to everyone according to their contributions. Fiat aristocracy might even get a head start, but they can’t enslave people forever on a hard-money standard.

I suppose one advantage of Nostr is that those people can't literally force you to agree with them. They can't actually get your banned for instance. So although they can behave in an extremely toxic and aggressive way, they can't actually do anything to you. And so maybe the argument is that the presence of more people strenghtens the network.

I agree Nostr needs to be for everybody. But if we want Bluesky users to come, we must cater to their needs and offer something they value. The people who are here are here because Nostr gives them freedom. Why are people there? Some people don't want freedom (at least for now), they want a "safe" & curated experience (could be wrong, but this is what I assume they want). How is Nostr better than Bluesky at that? Are we trying to be better at that? How would we even compete with that?
This is the only way to win them over.
