Hmm, or could it be young people with not enough money for cars have money to go to claw amusement stores
There are quite a few arcade stores in small towns in El Salvador and I'm also wondering how there is that much demand

I don’t get the appeal. It’s basically real life loot boxes. Even when you win one stuffed animal, it’s not like you need multiple of those every month
Hmmm. I would have cheap storefronts, nostalgia, smart phone ennui on my bingo card. To really find out we might need to watch a documentary of day in the life of GenZ to find the answer :-D
