Because algorithms aren't interfering, you can be genuinely be surprised by unexpected content, you aren't lead to the wrong content by virtue of bad inference, and you won't suddenly be cut off from content for arbitrary reasons.
Musk once said that the people who receive too much toxic content have previously encouraged the algorithm. This also means if you interacted with people with have other interests that are disadvantageous for you, you might still have encouraged the algorithm to bad inference.
He explained it as the joke "if you like to argue, you get coupled to trolls so you can argue more", which is under the assumption that the algorithm correctly interpreted all previous situations and circumstances so that that conclusion is really your passion.
