You have me curious. What advantage are you referring to?

Good question. As Jeff Booth has said, Nostr is built on Bitcoin as a base layer. So if Twitter integrates with Nostr as a client, and assuming they also integrate zaps and Lightning as well, then suddenly millions of users around the world have a much larger network of people to interact with and trade products and services and Bitcoin with. Since Twitter still has brand recognition, suddenly by becoming a Nostr client they are getting in on a protocol layer built on Bitcoin that is decentralized, which will motivate many people to not only stay on Twitter, but to build their platform, sales funnels, and monetization strategy on Nostr+Twitter instead of leaving for Damas, Amethyst, etc. Since Elon Musk builds companies which are intensely innovation focused, they would rapidly innovate Twitter as a Nostr client that could take advantage of their human resources in amazing ways, creating the app X that Elon has discussed, having been inspired by We Chat and such, that is intensely feature rich. In the long run, Twitter could dominate the social media decentralized market, while saving it's users who want to consider migrating to Nostr, but haven't materially made the move, to have their audience and Nostr in one place. It would be amazing. And they already have the engineers to make it happen.

I'm sorry this is too funny. 😂 Why are you even on nostr? 🤨

You asked me what advantage I was referring to, so I did you the favor of explicating it despite your apparent inability to connect the dots, and you're still unable to connect the dots unfortunately. Furthermore, instead of seeking to understand the parts that you don't understand before passing judgement, you've taken my explication of the advantages Twitter would have by becoming a Nostr client as a signal of loyalty towards Twitter by saying, "Why are you even on Nostr?," which means you're implying that I don't belong here, in your opinion. Ironically, it's people like you who made Twitter culture tank, and are now bringing the same worldview here. I don't care which platform I use, as long as it works better than the other ones. I hope you find the humility to see things from a different perspective at some point.

I have lierally never used Twitter. I did take the time to understand your perspective. I just don't feel like explaining my perspective in detail will change yours. You need to ask yourself the question: how would a centralized and heavily censored social media platform benefit from becoming a client of one that is the exact opposite? In other words, how would they benefit from siding with the enemy. Good sir, I apologize if I came off as too blunt in my previous comment. It wasn't my intention. But, I stand by my opinion. If you think twitter would benefit from becoming a client of nostr then just go back to using them. And you clearly haven't taken the time to understand my perspective, as well. I previously mentioned that twitter is legacy tech.

It's obvious to me how Twitter would benefit by becoming decentralized and exit the censorship way of doing things, which is to give itself a chance to survive and thrive, because if they don't they will die on the vine. Thank you for your kind apology, and I forgive you. I don't begrudge you your opinion, and I respect it. I just don't agree, and that's okay. We can disagree and still honor one another. You're the one who asked for my perspective, so I gave it to you. If you think it doesn't make sense, flush it. I could be wrong. But my opinions and perspectives don't mean I don't belong here. Our conversation started with my assertion that Twitter should join Nostr before it's too late, so it doesn't behoove me to seek to understand your perspective while I'm providing evidence for mine, as you asked me to. I agree with you that Twitter is legacy tech. However, no matter how much company inertia, or any other company has going on, if they are headed in the wrong direction they can change. It may be unlikely, even highly unlikely, but it's not impossible, and that's my point. You're right that it's probably too late for Twitter, but until they close their doors they can make a change for the better. I feel sad that you feel like explaining your perspective in detail won't change mine. If you're willing to share your perspective, I would really appreciate it and would do my best to understand what you mean and where you're coming from because I'm sure you have insights I'm not privy to. Would you please share your perspective? If so, thank you! If not, I understand. Blessings!

Twitter will never be allowed to integrate with nostr due to it's adherence to the SEC and government restritictions. You say Elon Musk is focused on innovation focused companies, yet all I have heard from many is that twitter has not gotten better since his takeover but worse. He has gone back on his word of trying to fix the platform. I feel as if that should explain everything. One more thing: it would be wise to not defend Elon Musk. I can't help but feel as if you have not done extensive research into the means used by his companies for product production.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. As you say, Twitter is probably hamstrung by being a public company by the SEC and government restrictions. As to whether Twitter has gotten better or worse since he took over is challenging to tell. My experience using Twitter is marginally better, but it's also my understand that it was a dumpster fire headed for certain destruction, and now it might be able to survive, but who knows. I don't. Based on the work he's putting in, it doesn't seem like he has gone back on his word to fix the platform since he posts regular updates disclosing what he and his team are doing. As an entrepreneur, it seems to me Elon makes a lot of mistakes but endeavors to do his best. He's a task master, but also expects the same level of commitment from himself, at least that's the evidence I've seen. I respect that you, "can't help but feel as if." The problem with that is, and I say this with the utmost respect, feelings aren't evidence. However, if you know of some evil or unfair behaviors on his part, I'm all ears. If they prove to be true, then I'll stand right along with you. Thank you again for sharing!

Using mass amounts of child labor in countries across Africa to mine lithium and cobalt. And that's only one continent. Tesla has mines in many continents and they use the same means, as well. There were photos posted of these mines, which were taken down very quickly, during the COVID lockdown. I'm sorry but I can't stand for this. You're clearly religious, so I can only assume that you would forsake such means, as well.

TESLA doesn't mine lithium, though they are considering doing so. Perhaps you are referring to Panasonic? It sounds like smears to me put forward by people shorting TESLA stock, but that's speculation on my part. May I ask, who published photos of apparent TESLA mines using child labor? And, is there a place where I might look up those photos and their associated news? Thank you for your help!

You're indoctrinated. I can't help you.

So, what you're saying is you have no evidence. If you find some from primary sources, let me know.

So then, tell me how tesla gets the lithium used for their car batteries.

It may behoove you to study up on TESLA's supply chain. Most lithium comes out of Australia.

And labor mines in the Congo and Argentina. I really don't care anymore, dude. Have a nice day.

Apparently you care enough to make assertions without evidence, which is the way most people operate their lives, which ends in poor decision making. If you change your mind and decide to support your assertions with evidence, don't hesitate to let me know. :)

🤣🤣🤣 who told you they don't mine lithium?! This is too funny, man!

There is a distinction between using lithium and mining lithium. They use plenty of it, but they have no in house lithium mining operation.

🤦‍♂️ idc

If you didn't care, you wouldn't have engaged in this conversation to begin with.

Lol. You misunderstand. I DID care. Now, I don't.

It's up to you whether or not you show evidence of child labor. Apparently you don't care that much about the children to bring evidence of their suffering to someone who's directly asked to see it.

Dude... I said earlier that the photos got taken down very quickly. These were leaked during COVID. Stop listening solely to all the misinformation on the net. Can you please stop?! This is getting annoying.

That's the same thing as saying you don't have evidence. But I look forward to seeing evidence if you happen to find it.

Exercising basic critical thinking isn't the same thing as being a troll, nor being indoctrinated. What's I've done is goaded you into living up to your espoused convictions. I'll sincerely look into the evidence you've provided and if it holds up to scrutiny, I'll revaluate what I think about Elon Musk and TESLA. I appreciate your time. Have a great day!

What?? I'm never pretentious ;) Except when I am. 🤣😉

K

🤣 I'm pretty sure you could make a living doing minimalist comedy. ;-)

I made a living doing investing. Which is why I'm retired at 32.

Well done.

Well done.

Keep in mind that you are only one person using Twitter.

"People like you"

Interesting🤔

마자요. 재미있어요. ;)

Your reasoning makes no sense, at all.

Well, if you put in the effort, eventually it will or it won't. Either way, have fun on your journey.

I doubt it.
