Nostr, nostr:npub1jrcfyw8n298jf83txvlxzx0w7jtfwqs0j4ha0dnn9ns33hgm209sqejdcc and I are going on a 20 year wedding anniversary cruise next summer. I am extremely excited, because I'll be able to travel to places that I've wanted to explore my entire life and I'll get to experience these places with my wife!

Barcelona, Spain

Sicily (Messina), Italy

Athens (Piraeus), Greece

Santorini, Greece

Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey

Mykonos, Greece

Olympia (Katakolon), Greece

Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

I've started looking at shore excursions and things to do at each of our ports. I believe I have a few of these already figured out (Sicily, Athens, Olympia, Rome) however, I'd like to hear all of your thoughts and recommendations if you've been to any of these locations or live there :) What do we do in Barcelona, Santorini, Mykonos, and Ephesus?

Thanks!

Any chance you can trace your ancestral roots to any of these places? Seeing my great grandfathers birth certificate in Sicily was one of the highlights of my last trip

My roots are Hessian. My ancestor was a British hired Hessian mercenary that fought against the American colonists that eventually abandoned his post and joined the colonists. I know where he's buried, about two hours from where I live. I've been to his grave.
