it's absolutely a problem and needs addressed. if a system can be gamed. it will be. hence Spamisol.
that said, your reputation would be on the like to do nefarious acts like this. since reports are public, if you did this, once found out, your reputation would be tarnished and you wouldn't be able to recover.

right. we can take your team out of the mix and say what if you and i secretly spent the last month building fake accounts i.e. you know who, and then used these fake accounts to report people. it's way too easy to game followers and reports. and yes, it's any report on the protocol.
Right, lots of nice friendly new accounts showing up learning how to use Nostr (wink wink). It seems so obvious that this level of debate on Nostr over is almost unbelievable.
This would be easy to do with alts though and could be automated. Grab the top Users from Snort and/or nostr.directory for follows and quickly the Amethyst feed would look non-existent.
