If anyone is curious or needing help with #Meshtastic, I'm going to do a walkthrough of flashing firmware and configuration on nostr:nprofile1qqsp8luyzs4x2f3y2yjvrq8m2dpvagfs64v0a3753qqe68dw02k2rzsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy08wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wshsz8thwden5te0dehhxarj9e3xjarrda5kuetj9eek7cmfv9kz7ghyfwf at 23:30 UTC.

"But cheesy man, I need more notice! I can't do it today!"

Don't sweat it. This is just a trial run. I'll do it as many times as we need to. The idea is to get the new folks up and running, while being available for real-time questions.

Ah damn can't do it today. I'd be more than happy to help sometime

That'd be cool. I'm intentionally keeping it short notice so I can stumble through any kinks.

If I'm back by then I'll join for sure

Really interested šŸ«‚ *checks time*

What day/time is good for you? I know it works now, so we'll do another one with some good advance notice.

Early evening is better for me 6-8 all other times I’m either flat out at work or hammered 😊

What's that in UTC? I forgot what side of the planet you're on at the moment. šŸ˜‚

Is it really mesh? Can I talk with someone hundred miles away as long as there is a route for the messages t travel?

Yeah, absolutely. If you can get a good line of sight between nodes, the range gets pretty crazy. Altitude is key.

So not a mesh

What you described is point to point

Node to node

Oh, I mean you can get a good few miles between nodes. Then with 4 or 5 in between, your message can go that 100 miles. We have a lot of trees and flat land here, so it probably wouldn't work for me. In a mountainous area, yeah, no problem.
