Somebody should build a Steam store/launcher with a Nostr database. Stop giving control over your games to valve.

Interesting idea. Thinking aloud though. Most games nowadays have DRM. I can't even play some old games without Internet. So most of the games in this would have to cracked or Open Source?
Merci

We can start small by offer alternative solution for itch.io, where most indie devs publish their games
it's not small. in fact it's the biggest game store.
Have you seen the hackathon project nostr:npub1arkn0xxxll4llgy9qxkrncn3vc4l69s0dz8ef3zadykcwe7ax3dqrrh43w and I made? It supports 1 game engine now, but the vision is to do what you're describing.
Crashglow.com
then add Steam Workshop, nip-72 communities for games with notes and other stuff, private dms, public chats, contact list, user profiles, nip-38 status based on gaming activity, add nip-58 badges, vrm avatar catalog, webrtc audio calls, crowdfunding nip-75, wishlist nip-51, zap.stream streams and flare.pub videos in game page, reviews, reports, long form notes for game updates/etc., custom emojis, playing in the cloud.
and for selling software
how to protect users against malware in such censorship-resistant store? It should be used only for wasm/webgpu and cloud gaming.
The enthusiasm for the Valve DRM sideshow always puzzled me. It ruined the HL2 launch, and kept adding nothing of value since then.
nostr should run on the decentral DNS such as https://handshake.org/
