Hey #nostr fam-

What is the best way to discover new content here?

I know the prevailing argument is not having a closed source algorithm is good (and I agree), but sometimes I browse the For You tab on X and actually appreciate coming across different types content that I wouldn’t normally.

Curious to see how Nostr vets go about that.

Add Hashtags of things you like go the extraeffort to add people you think are interesting. Mute things that you don’t want to see. Take time to iterate and soon you will have a feed you like. Also add nodes if you are in a client with just one

Thanks for the tip! Any resources on how to add nodes for the non-tech savvy?

Hmm I am also not the expert. But in your Nostr client setting there usually is a relay tab that shows the relay nodes and I am not sure where to find relays but you can add them

Following hashtags of stuff you like is a good starting place. When you see notes with stuff you like you can follow that npub and check out who they follow. Getting a few hundred npubs to follow helps and you can follow more and follow less as needed.

Managing your relay list is a new paradigm for peeps coming over from the other platforms so that'll be something you can look into eventually.

Thx for the zap and the tips!

I need to learn more about relay lists. Heard the term several times but don’t know the ins/outs. Any good #nostr basics resources?

It's a new ecosystem, but the sky is the limit for what people can build on top of the protocol.

I find good people to follow in the comments regularly. Primal has some trending algorithms that I find good content every single day. See you around the game 🫡
