It works for me, but I don't use it to talk much.

It works but it's a dead ecosystem

Yeah. That's fair.

I stopped listening to guys podcast accidentally when I switched podcasting apps, and haven't heard of it since then...

Did they ever open source the client? That's all they had to do. πŸ˜’

No, but the building blocks are open source: https://github.com/holepunchto

What is keet? πŸ˜‰

is it? the keet x account is still posting bullish things.

The team said they don't use X...lol news to me

It works, we have people there, its a very clean app, underlying tech is promising, etc. just people don't use it

Everyone I got to download and use liked it, but deleted immediately when they found out the app was the server, and also saw how much storage it takes up on your device. Which is kinda the point of the tech

Plus its a bitfinex-backed product, so there's that too

i could see the potential when they first released but I tried it a few times and it was too buggy to use seriously. it seemed like they publicised it too early before enough of the bugs were flattened.

Same issue as Simplex, missing messages. Agressive background app killing did it to keet and server choice mismatch in Simplex. Either way, huge usability issues getting everyone in a room on the same page so it worked.

Closed source.

Wow forgot about simplex already

Absolutely agree
