Can I buy a backpack to carry my laptop in and a mobile hotspot to connect it with?

If so, then yes 😂

MmmKay. How bout only when you get to a destination, sort of like public wifi. Only available when stationary, or at a dwelling.

Nah, I need live Sat Nav cos I'm useless at finding stuff.

I didn't go out for the first twenty years of my life.

lmfao. I keep maps in my glove box and often print directions because my GPS can be super flakey. Thats why I allowed GPS because technically you don't need internet access for that, and we still have standalone gps devices.

Yeh, I couldn't do that, I need a "You are here" marker and a "The Restaurant is here" marker otherwise I'm screwed.

We are not the same 😂

I don't trust a GPS as far as I could throw it. So yeah :)

If I can throw it in the direction of the restaurant, then I trust it.

Some dumb phones allowed you to use the phones internet connection, that has been doable since dialup.

Yup quite a few stripped ones on the market i've been looking into. But back then I'd argue price and complexity kept it out of reach for the majority of users.

Yeah price was a killer.

I wouldn't call it complex, just a different set of steps.

Do you remember WAP? 😂

Yep. 😂

I used it to check email at one point, even used an SMS service to do that for a while. 😂
