1 hour into the interview.

TLDR;

- Putin: West won't let us join their circle of friends 😭 I tried many times

US agencies acting outside US president interests (maybe this is the military industrial complex JFK warned about)...

- Nobody honors any agreements. Putin sad 😢

- Putin afraid of Nazis from a country a fraction of the size of Russia. So naturally we just wipe everyone out to get rid of the nazis..

Victim, victim, victim.

Not defending EU, NATO or US actions. Would love to hear the other side of it. Hard to know how much BS Putin is spewing as most of what he says supposedly occurred behind closed doors. We just have to take his word for it.

That’s an interesting take. I tried to watch without bias, and I didn’t feel like he was victimizing himself. 🐶🐾🤔

My guess is everyone is being played by the invisible hand that operates behind the scenes for the sake of self enrichment. Call it what you want - the thing JFK warned about.

That’s true. We are all biased in our own ways. The only counter I can come up with is getting more information to cancel out the noise. 🐶🐾🫡

It’s tough. Part of me can hear the frustration of trying to deal like with a nation that has no consistency or trustworthiness (in his eyes, and according to him). Like, if a single person acted like the US supposedly did- you might call them bipolar… AND YET is this not somewhat how an amorphous blob of a free-ish democracy will naturally function? Is it a huge cultural divide between someone who feels a leader should set the clear direction and objectives of a nation and a nation that values the influence of the populace (however corrupt and mal incentivized)?

I think he addressed that in the interview, saying that he is not opposed of this way and that US is a complex country that can be hard to understand 🐶🐾🫡

Obviously I need to finish it lol! Interesting, thanks for the heads up

Watch John Mearsheimer ‘Why Ukraine is the West’s fault’ or something to that effect in 2015. I am no Putin supporter, but there is a lot of fact to the broader things he is saying. ‘Not an inch to the east’ NATO expansion into the Warsaw pact and beyond was a broken promise repeatedly.

That's a fair summary.

US politicans won't tell their side. They just ignore questions or obfuscate. Because they think they are answerable to nobody. Putin at least gives the impression he understands he should be held accountable to the public
