#[3] any advice?
Discussion
lightningaddress.com is a pretty helpful resource
Thanks, yes I have used this resource before but I didn't find any zap-compatible LN address when I checked last time. I have an LN address but it can only be tipped, not zapped.
Hmm that’s weird. You should be able to receive zaps with any functional lightning address
Wait i just zapped you 😂😂😂
Thanks. I received a tip for 7 sats, but it isn't a zap since the zap counter doesn't show the zap.
Ok i see, you’re talking about NIP-57. What is the lightning address? (It doesn’t show in damus like some other clients)
Fernevak@zbd.gg
This is just a temporary solution that works for tips. I have the Blixt wallet but haven't seen an LN address option there.
I’m going to interject here. Question for you. I’ve got WOS TestFlight and I’m zapping mfers like crazy. I’m seeing my zaps on their counters, but I don’t think they are?
I see it on some and not on others, no idea if they see it
I wish we had a resource over NIP-57 LN addresses for apps hosted on Github. The google play dependency on many apps is a troubling trend.
If most of the NIP-57 LN address providers are google play only, and not on Github, and if notes become sorted by Zap counters in the future, then google play will have a great deal of power over the sorting mechanism by controlling the app download chokepoint.
Agreed and there probably are some resources in progress that i/we just don’t know about
Ln.tips isn’t an app, it’s through a telegram bot and you can use lndhub to export it to zeus or bluewallet too
But isn't there a Telegram dependency for that tip bot then?
Yeah. Any LN address will have dependencies, unless you have your own domain to host it at which is beyond my paygrade but perhaps #[6] can point you in the right direction in that regard
I just went through the process by #[8] for my lightning node and set up payments using a self hosted domain. NIP-57 not enabled (yet), but custody.
In case you want to set up your own and already have a domain etc.
