Been there done that! Me in the Czech Republic in 1995 3rd sax from the left. 33 years in the Army Band. 
Awesome... Unfortunately no one knew they were performing, not announced anywhere. Maybe 20 people mostly passer bys. A local army vet told is to go check it out. It was a great time.
Oh Fuck, we marched parades and we were the only people, one was in west Tennessee for Juneteenth... We marched down a fucking side street and all these people were looking out their doors like what the fuck.
Yep, I couldn't tell you how many concerts to the crowd of 3 we've done.
I know someone 35 years in the Air Force band (the big one) any chance paths crossed somewhere? He was trombone player.
Very little chance, services rarely perform together. The airforce does their own schooling, whereas the Army, Navy and Marine Corps go to a tri service school at Little Creek Navel based in Virginia. So I've interacted with some of them.
