Actually completely false. Pretty sure I regularly engage with a couple.
I used to hunt down, expose and try and shame scammers in peer to peer Bitcoin lending platforms like BTC Jam and Bit Lending Club.
A Russian and I created a website called shameless which loaded all defaults in one place and exposed the shameful.
These loans were regularly 50 BTC.
It was fun at the time, but it took a lot to keep doing it. After about 2 years, I did come away with more Bitcoin. But, it should have been much much more.
Also people didn't like to be told they were lending btc to a scammed, it was mostly worse than a thankless task. This was all as me Joe Bloggs, same icon etc, so I'm not exposing any new information.
Cool! Been around a while. And I mostly am joking with the comments about me detecting scammers or AI, to be clear. I'd likely have to go back and read what looked at first glance like a ton of material you put out, if I were to better understand where you're coming from.

They've been called out as scammers, liars and all sorts of other things and are going to rug-pull everyone who uses them, since 2014.

Btw, I don't think Tether is a scam or rug pull, not by design anyway. Not that I've done any deep look into it, just that they seem to have a good track record, mixed with a little bit of gfy directed at those who've tried to thwart them over time.
And I get why many, mostly in the more under-banked areas, would value it.
Back in the day, on Bitcoin exchanges, you could have Bitcoin price difference of say $200 USD on a $1,000 Bitcoin price. So you could sell on one exchange and buy on the other and make 20% Fiat each time. This, importantly, left you with an unchanged Bitcoin amount, unless you bought more BTC. That is called arbitrage.
The problem was repeating the arbitrage, getting cash between Bitcoin exchange platforms. Sending Bitcoin could take 30 mins. Sending Fiat could take upto a day or more if you got close to a weekend.
Tether previously Realcoin fixed that problem, holding the same amount or increasing Bitcoin amounts, while being being able to make 5 to 25% every time until the prices on the exchanges became the same.
Very profitable and made possible by Tether.
It's never been scammy at all, they with Simon Dixon helped to rectify the Bitfinex hack. Where I would have lost about $50k, if I remember right, without Tether helping out. Clearly not scammers.

Of course, I'm not convinced they've got the reserves they claim, but that's something I don't care enough to dig into, and I gather others have looked into it as well as they can.

Meant to reply earlier. Got most of it, but you lost me on the explanation of soft memories a bit..actually a lot. That's ok, but I think I'm representative of the average nostr reader, and my honest reaction is, "you really expect me to get what you're saying on first pass, when this convoluted explanation, which is of course never seen before now, is required to get your way of communicating?"
