or just add another public relay (not yours) to amethyst so your posts are stored in two places

Sure. That goes with out say. I'd recommend you gather as many reliable relays as you like. Spending a few bucks on paid relays would likely help make your feed a bit better as well.
I'm already (automatically) connected to 13 other relays in addition to my own right now, including one that I paid for. Does that mean none of them are storing my data?
some of them are, some of them are not
you can try and reach the relay operators to ask
but it's not a problem for visibility rly, i think most only delete after a certain period.. months i assume
you have your own data backed up w your relay is what counts
shouldn't be a problem for visibility
you should def not upload media with the nip95 verified thing tho, you'll reach only amethysts users with that and there's a lot of damus users here too
