in a constant state of never being happy with the client i’ve built. I only see the flaws 😔

Im the opposite. Deep state of gratitude for what you’ve built
Now, you know how God feels
Relatable. 🫂

It’s the one I am using :) keep shipping
The maker’s curse.
Im happy. Thanks for what you do.
Cos you’re a good artist 🔥
Don’t overthink it!
Celebrate the small victories!
Focusing on the flaws is how it gets better. We have to be that way, it is what drives us.
But it is not a representative view of what you've built.
Perfectionism is a tricky trait to handle. But real talk, DAMUS is amazing bro!!!
I am 100% the same with nostr:npub1market6g3zl4mxwx5ugw56hfg0f7dy7jnnw8t380788mvdyrnwuqgep7hd as much as I respect and appreciate the teams work… even with 10 more coders and UX guys it wouldn’t be enough 😁
There’s just too much to do
If it’s an consolation I just posted a Spotify link and it made me so happy that it plays right in damus now rather than requiring someone to go to Spotify. Am I behind in just finding this out?? That’s like one of a million things I love about your creation
Anyway, damus makes me really happy 😊
We love Damus 💜 The constant state of never being happy with what you built is just because work is never finished. But that doesn’t make what you created less great or less functional, it just means it has endless possibilities. Keep doing the great work you have always done. 🫂
for what its worth I'm a product guy in the fiat mines and I can only see the flaws of my app which has a 4.8 average user rating..
The logo is perfect tho
Symptoms of constantly improving upon things
Absolute trash. Try harder nerd!
Just kidding. Super happy to use Damus.
I am building something complementary in Swift.
Your work is really pretty amazing
Hopefully not swiftui. Worse decision i ever made.
Sadly yes. I am new to native iOS dev. Wild stuff.
I was too. SwiftUI seductive but really hard to make performant for complex uis
👀
It is a fantastic client, my go-to, my homeport. Your quality standards are admirable; that's how you built such a great client.
Painters will sometimes look at their paintings in a mirror. This supposedly helps them look at their art with a fresh perspective. Maybe there is something similar for you and your app?
sign of a great product leader
when building, often good to take a little break to look backwards and see the progress made over time .. a month prior, a quarter prior, a year prior .. easy to forget enormous forward strides and vast quantities of heavy lifting that have made your product awesome
this particularly important as you get out of MVP stage and see future possibilities mushroom .. so many things to do .. so many possibilities 🤗
I really enjoy it 🫡
