Do you prefer white button mushrooms over raw carrot salad or do both/use them for different reasons?

Carrot salad can be irritating/too aggressive if done daily for years on end, in my opinion.
A lot of peatera "graduate" to daily mushrooms and less freq carrots.
Many, including myself, just eat a raw carrot directly a couple times a week instead of making the salad.
I like the mushrooms better but I rely on both because it's hard to keep antiseptic mushrooms cooked, drained, and ready in the fridge for recooking.
