Named the kid something that can be shortened, everyone asked if we were going to call him the shortened version and I told them that I was calling him by his given name. When he decides he wants to be called something else his friends can call him by that, I will call him by the name I gave him 😂🤷♀️

Yes. But if he gets a nickname, he's also stuck with that. For a while a part of my family called me Johnny Fat Boy...which I still hear from time to time :)
