When I was a little kid I used to get pissed if someone called me Joe, Iโ€™d correct them and tell them โ€œMy name is Joseph!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜‚

Exactly. Respect due, respect paid.

You got it Jo'๐Ÿซก.

Named the kid something that can be shortened, everyone asked if we were going to call him the shortened version and I told them that I was calling him by his given name. When he decides he wants to be called something else his friends can call him by that, I will call him by the name I gave him ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Yes. But if he gets a nickname, he's also stuck with that. For a while a part of my family called me Johnny Fat Boy...which I still hear from time to time :)

His nickname is raccoon because he always used to get in to things and it stuck ๐Ÿ˜‚. I will say "hey raccoon do you want this?"... nicknames are weird. ๐Ÿฆ

But his name is the full length version, not shortened. He's had some friends that did and he was okay with it.

with this logic we need to go back to Mr. (Last Name)

DO IT!
