I’ve been thinking to make exactly this, except for bitcoin only events/conferences.

Ideally you could mark when you’re going too, so that friends can see.

You can find most bitcoin events on the orangepill app.

There was flockstr, but now it's defunct. Thankfully, I convinced the author to make it open source.
