How does this permission system work?
Merchants in every US state can require you to show a government issued ID before they sell you alcohol. In some states, like Utah, it is mandatory. In many grocery stores, checkers are required to enter your birthdate into the system in order to process an alcohol purchase
What happened to "but not everyone has a smartphone"?
