Feeling "meh" over my Start 9 node. Bitcoin core keeps dropping out and needing to resynch.
Can't use my Zeus wallet because of it.
Can't use it at all really. Bitcoin core is CORE to everything working.

Possibly. It's just frustrating. I have tried to spin up several nodes. Different apps. Different services. Same results. Unusable nodes
Thats too bad. Did you build the node yourself or you bought it from start9 ?

Is it solely used for start9 ? And the laptop has a SSD right ?

I think that’s the issue. A spinning hard drive is not reliable enough to run core. Core needs to validate every block itself. It’s much more efficient and reliable with an SSD. The first validation of the blockchain takes less than 24-48 hours with an SSD. I’ve heard it could take weeks with an HDD. And still have issues afterwards
Odd. It ran well when I installed core under Linux.
But there I had issues with getting lightning up and running.
I have no issues with LND. Then again, with an HDD whenever there’s new blocks that core synced and LND will want to sync, I’m guessing the HDD is rushing to try and keep up. And this happens roughly every 10 minutes
When you click on LND, is it synced to graph and just timing out, or it’s trying to keep up? And same with core ? Just timed out or trying to sync ?
lol who knew that writing a computer OS in hipsterlang Rust would cause reliability issues!
Pleb over here still using mac m1, but have bitcoin core setup with specter & #coldcard
Moved away from ledger to this setup. One day I will have a non-Mac setup! 🤙🏼💜
